Celestion have built a reputation for some of the best compression drivers available today with more that 1,000 units sold every day.  The CDX1-1720 is typical of Celestion's expertise in the field, it features a rolled Polyamide surround and Titanium diaphragm with "sound castle" clamping providing reduced distortion and greater reliability.  This driver is suggested for use in high end 2 way designs as a replacement unit or in new builds particularly with 15" woofers such as the Celestion FTR and NTR series.
